SerPenTarius- 13th horoscopic zodiac?

The Serpentarius

In western astrology, a horoscope is a chart or diagram representing the positions of the Sun, Moon, planets, the astrological aspects, and sensitive angles at the time of an event, such as the moment of a person's birth. The word horoscope is derived from Greek words meaning "a look at the hours" .
As we all know there are 12 different zodiac or horoscopic signs in western astrology: aries, taurus, gemini, cancer, leo, virgo, libra, scorpio, sagittarius, capricorn, aquarius and pisces. But there was actually another member of the zodiac known as the 'serpentarius'.

The serpentarius or Ophiuchus is a Sun-sign in the Real Solar Zodiac, i.e. the Sun can be seen against the stars of Ophiuchus between 30th November and 17th December each year. However, Ophiuchus is not a zodiacal sign in Western astrology due to a historical system in which 12 signs divided equally into 30 degrees each are vital. This still greatly debated by astrologers today, as many would argue that the serpentarius was not one of the zodiac signs due to the inaccurate oversimplification of the heavens by astrologers dating from a time when we did not have telescopes or computers.
